Equilibrspa 2014 english subtitle
I was genuinely excited to hear that Disney was going to make a film about Maleficent, my favorite Disney villain of brazilian jiu jitsu ebook all time.
Well, the movie did not disappoint - indeed, it was cheesy, but in such a self-aware way, that it falls out of the "so bad that it's good" category and gets into the "simply good" one.We see him battle the Lernaean Hydra, slay the Erymanthian Boar, and kill the Nemean Lion with bare hands - and that's in the first two minutes. The main antagonist of "Hercules" is indeed portrayed a wee bit over-the-top, but after all this is a comic adaptation and that's the proper way to portray comic villains. What else has she done to him other than cursing his daughter?Disney is showing us a completely different character while giving her the same name as Disney's most iconic villain. And the story is delivered in an entertaining way without any unnecessary melodrama or heroism - a nice change from most of Hollywood big-budget action flicks. Now they're trying to say that Maleficent is a misunderstood character who becomes evil. She didn't do any of that in this movie.I will also say that while Angelina Jolie was not my first choice, she had the look, her costume was spot-on, and there are moments where you can see where she is at least trying to play this role correctly (and really, who could replace.Besides the fact that Maleficent is not evil in this film, she also is very wimpy and pathetic.
She becomes angry and bitter, but not evil.
Just when you'd think this flick would be nothing but Dwayne Johnson, bare-chested and tough, slaughtering stuff, it's revealed that the narrator is actually the nephew of Hercules, exaggerating the story of his uncle, trying to convince a bunch of pirates not to execute him.It doesn't break the boundaries of modern fantasy adventure flicks, but it does go against a lot of the tropes and cliches.Apart from the opening sequence, Hercules never has to battle absurdly huge foes or mythical creatures.I went to see Hercules with little to no expectations.Same with the good guys; they may have their own flaws, show that they have their own prejudices, or that everything they did wasn't perfect. All actors, from the cheesy Johnson and Fiennes to veteran John Hurt, reprise their roles in a great, fleshed-out way.
